October 15 – November 1, 2008
Cost: TBD
Listen. Interact with women from both here in the U.S. and on the other side of the world. Hear their stories of life, family, belief, struggle and triumph.
Learn. Experience a place of amazing contrast. A land that is a river delta. A country that experiences floods and cyclones so devastating that half of the land can be underwater. A vibrant Muslim culture with a rich, colorful history. Cities that are some of the most densely populated in the world. Remote villages untouched by electricity, cell phones, computers and even opportunities like a basic education.
Love. Obey Jesus’ most challenging command to love others.
Next fall, a team of women will have a challenging and rewarding opportunity to serve women in Bangladesh. Team members may be involved in activities such as interacting with school teachers to develop their English skills, teaching fun and educational songs to students and visiting rural villages to participate in activities related to Food for the Hungry’s Family and Community Transformation program.
