Food for the Hungry is accountable before God and man to use the gifts we receive in the best way possible to help impoverished people and communities around the world.
More than 88 percent of total income, including commodities, goes to field programs – we work diligently to be efficient with the resources God has provided. As such, we ship goods using matching grants from governments and corporations, and cooperate with other organizations in pooling resources for the purpose of gaining efficiencies. In addition, we are a charter member of the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability (EFCA) and abide by all of its strict accounting standards.
