Long-term positions (Three years or more)
Hunger Corps missionaries normally serve an initial term of three years, although many extend their service with FH beyond the first term. For most, the bulk of the first year is devoted to language learning and becoming familiar with the culture.

The positions below provide a rich variety of ways to transform communities. It takes myriad gifts, skills and experience to bring change. Long-term Hunger Corps not only interact with members of the poor communities where FH works, but also serve as change agents in their local churches, neighborhoods and offices. One of your biggest joys will be working and walking alongside our wonderful national staff!

FH is committed to supporting our missionaries through life's different seasons. Our educational leave program, for example, allows Hunger Corps staff to remain on support while returning to the US to earn advanced degrees. Some Hunger Corps will take new professional directions or move into higher-level administrative positions. Marriage and children may require a change in ministry or location.
