Emergency and disaster relief allows us to minister to the most immediate needs of individuals in the community. Our second goal is to see the community develop and grow in its potential to become self-sustaining.

Sustainable development is guided by our philosophy of ministry, "Vision of a Community". The philosophy seeks to transform a community by engaging and equipping the community leaders, churches and families to reach out and actively solve the problems within their own community. The advancement of this ministry philosophy at work allows us to see communities advancing toward their God-given potential and being equipped to become self-sustaining.
Sustainable development focuses on Child Development, Church Development, Economic Development, Food Security, Health, HIV/AIDS, and Water/Sanitation programs. These programs are carried out by Food for the Hungry, individuals in the community and individuals like you! Individuals like you … doctors and nurses, engineers, agriculturists, child development workers, pastors and more are using their talents and passion to help make lasting transformation and impact!

Water and Sanitation Program Manager
The Water and Sanitation Program Manager implements and coordinates all aspects of FH’s water and sanitation programs in a specific country, assists in the design and development of new projects, and provides technical assistance to other programs as needed.
Security Officer
The Security Officer is responsible for the management of all security issues for FH in a specific country, in coordination with Program Director, and provides technical assistance as needed.
Program Director
The Program Director oversees the implementation of all programs in a specific country, develops new programs, and represents Food for the Hungry locally.
HIV/AIDS Program Manager
The HIV/AIDS Program Manager implements and coordinates all aspects of FH’s HIV/AIDS programs in a specific country, assists in the design and development of new projects, and provides technical assistance to other programs as needed.
Health and Nutrition Program Manager
The Health and Nutrition Program Manager implements and coordinates all aspects of FH’s health and nutrition programs in a specific country, assists in the design and development of new projects, and provides technical assistance to other programs as needed.
Grant Development Officer
The Grant Development Officer is responsible for the development of new grants in a specific country, in coordination with Program Managers, and provides technical assistance as needed.
Food Security Program Manager
The Food Security Program Manager implements and coordinates all aspects of FH’s food security programs in a specific country, assists in the design and development of new projects, and provides technical assistance to other programs as needed.
Child Survival Program Manager
The Child Survival Program Manager implements and coordinates all aspects of FH’s child survial programs in a specific country, assists in the design and development of new projects, and provides technical assistance to other programs as needed.
Agriculture Program Manager
The Agriculture Program Manager implements and coordinates all aspects of FH’s agriculture programs in a specific country, assists in the design and development of new projects, and provides technical assistance to other programs as needed.
