At Food for the Hungry (FH), we created these five kid-friendly printable activities to share with your sponsored child because we know that it’s never too early to start teaching your family to care for others and be curious about the world! Whether you have small children at home or you teach them at church or school, it is so important to raise kind and generous children with a heart for others.
It’s never too early to start teaching your family to care for others and be curious about the world!
We know that lots of families do that through child sponsorship. Sponsorship is the chance for a family in the United States to engage a family who lives in a community working toward a brighter future. With letters, photos, and encouraging words, sponsored children and sponsors get to learn about each other and build a meaningful relationship. And it’s a chance to teach your family about the country and part of the world where your sponsored child lives so that your children grow up with a global perspective.
If you are already a sponsor, you know the best way to engage your sponsored child and their family. By writing letters! Maybe you share about your hometown, pass along a photo of your family, or send beautiful drawings from your children.
Free Downloadable Activities for Your Family
At FH, we know that parents are always looking for fun activities to engage your young children’s imagination and heart for others. That is why we created these five downloadable activities. Your family can print and complete an activity to share with your sponsored child and show your personality. Or you can print and mail the blank activity with a note asking your sponsored child to complete it at their home! Either way – we hope these kid-friendly printable activities bring you joy and are an opportunity to showcase creativity while connecting with your sponsored child.
