Celebrating the Victory of Graduation!

How you’re helping…

As you begin your child sponsorship journey with Food for the Hungry (FH), you’re ultimately helping communities walk toward a path of truly thriving on their own. That’s because FH enters communities with an exit plan in mind. Through your faithful support, communities are empowered to identify challenges, work on solutions together, and create lasting change for themselves. You help them walk toward graduation from that very first day you sponsor a child.

What is graduation?

A community graduates when the children and families living there can survive and thrive on their own. That’s because you have given them a hand up, not just a hand out. More importantly, they have hope for a brighter future. Together, we get to celebrate the victory of a community’s graduation when a community is …

  • Empowered to find transformative solutions, which are sustainable and implemented by the communities themselves.
  • Filled with hope for their future and strive to reach their God-given potential.
  • Resilient, self-sufficient, able to prepare for disasters or potential threats … and more!

Thank you for sponsoring a child!

When a community graduates, it is truly something to celebrate and we thank you for making it possible. Not only are you providing life-changing resources for your sponsored child’s community, but you’re giving a child the knowledge that they are loved and valued … by God and by you. And you’re giving them the gift of hope for a brighter future. Thank you for your commitment to helping end poverty for a child, family, and community in need!
